Privacy Notice

This website (eduarddumitrascu.com) is operated by Eduard Dumitrascu (“I”, “me”). This notice explains what limited personal data is collected through this site, why, and your rights under the EU GDPR and Romanian Law no. 190/2018.

2. What I collect and why
Contact & newsletter forms. If you use the contact form, I collect the name, email address, reason/subject and message you provide. If you subscribe to the newsletter, I collect your email address.
- Purpose: to read and respond to your enquiry (speaking, partnership, consulting or media), or to send you the newsletter you requested.
- Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to a contract / responding to your request), your consent for the newsletter (Art. 6(1)(a)), and, where no contractual context exists, my legitimate interest in answering messages sent to me (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Providing this data is voluntary, but without a name and email I cannot reply to you.
3. Form processing and hosting
This site is hosted on Netlify, and the forms are processed by Netlify Forms (Netlify, Inc., USA), acting as my data processor. Submissions may be transferred to and stored on servers in the United States under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. When you load any page, your IP address and basic technical request data are processed by Netlify as the hosting provider in its legitimate interest in delivering and securing the site (Art. 6(1)(f)). Netlify does not set advertising cookies for this site.
4. First-party design
All fonts and images on this site are served from this domain. The site does not embed live Google Fonts, third-party trackers, or analytics, so loading a page does not share your IP address with any advertising or analytics provider. You are only taken to an external site (e.g. YouTube, LinkedIn) if you click a link, at which point that provider's own privacy policy applies.
5. Cookies and analytics
This website does not set its own cookies and does not use analytics or tracking tools. No cookie consent banner is therefore required.
6. How long I keep your data
I keep contact-form messages only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up, and no longer than 24 months after our last contact, unless a longer period is required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. After that, data is deleted.
7. Who I share it with
I do not sell your data. It is accessible to me and to my hosting/form processor (Netlify) strictly to operate the site and deliver your message. I may share data with authorities only where legally required.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict processing of your data, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, to withdraw consent, and to data portability. To exercise any right, email eduard@arsc.ro. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian Data Protection Authority (ANSPDCP), www.dataprotection.ro.

I may update this notice; the date at the top reflects the latest version.
